Ok. Ok. Ok. I know I should have been concentrating on trying to get all my shit done for nursing school, but I was focusing on the last weeks of school. I am now finished with my Deaf Studies Certificate. Yay! For this next week my plan is....
1) find a new doctor to get my blood drawn. The one I have now sucks and didn't tell me in advance that it would cost me $200. So I didn't get my titers pulled yet. (Titers: the antibodies in your blood that tell the Dr. if you have had all your childhood vaccines) With that new doctor I will also be getting the physical I need, the Td shot and the TB skin test. My insurance does not pay for any of this.
2) Go to CPR class on Wednesday, May 20 at 5 pm. Anybody want to join me? It's $35 and it goes from 5-9 pm in downtown Phoenix.
3) Go to KAitie's Kindergarten graduation on May 21 at 12:30 pm! Yay!!!! Go Kaitie!!
4) Get drunk in there somewhere... (necessary evil, I won't be getting drunk at any point in the 2 years I'm in nursing school!! too much to do!)
5) Go to PC and turn in my financial aid forms. I may do this on Wednesday before the CPR class.
I know there is more, but I can't think of it right now!!
Will update again and hopefully will have some of this done!

Nursing School...
Ok here's the deal... I have been waiting to get into the Nursing Program at Maricopa Community Colleges (MCC) for about 1 & 1/2 years! It has been such a long wait.... Finally I got into Phoenix College, the best out of the Nursing Programs for all of MCC. YAY!!! But there is still more I have to do... I have to go to the doctor to get my titers pulled (get my blood drawn to see if I had my childhood vaccines. I no longer have the record because I'm 29! And furthermore they didn't give a vaccine for the chicken pox like they do now!) then I have to get a Tetanus/Diptheria (Td) shot, a TB skin test, CPR class, make sure I'm healthy by going to the doctor and having them sign this stupid form, then I can go meet with a Nursing Advisor to register for my classes that start August 24th. Woah! I wish they would have given me this information when I applied to the Nursing Program! I could have been working on it for a year and a half! But no matter... I still have to do it and therefore, I will. Yay! I'm going to be a nurse!!! 2 years folks! I will be posting the exact same (cut and pasted) blog updates weekly throughout Nursing School on MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter so you all can share in my frustration and triumphs, like good friends do!Much Love to all of you!!~Billie
